The story about Mary Magdalene is totally different in many books and even in the different religions. Very interesting. I don’t know, because I’ve never met her, for as far as I know.
Who can tell? Who cares?
I’m the painter and that gives me room to focus on what seems important to me. So I used different examples of this Maria.
I will give some information about different stories and writers here later.
I've seen quite a lot of icons, but I've never seen any other icon with such beautiful, almost heavenly bright colours with the purest gold. Those wings of the archangels! The spiritual seagreen of the robes of both the archangels is reinforced by the orange-red robe of Mary Magdalene. Everyone who visits my home for the first time, walks straight to this icon. Genuine respect, respect, respect.
